Sorry for the long posts lately. It’s not like my life is actually that terribly interesting. However, I’m sure you can gather from the amount that I’ve been yapping, that I have achieved very little in the way of stitching. I hope for more; however, my work is threatening to take over my weekend. I have passed off support of an important piece of software to someone else, but it can be a bit complex and the person to whom I have passed the torch is a bit anxious about her first installation of the latest (and greatly changed) version of the product onto a couple of production servers this weekend. Thus, I am back to being on call, if not actually in the building on Saturday. *sigh* It’s okay, really, because I get along really well wil this gal, so I’m happy to help. As a result, I may or may not get much stitching done this weekend. And considering the cold I have and how much I slept last night (11 hours or so) and the fact that I feel like I need to go take a nap right now (I’m working from home/taking a sick day), I think my stitching is sunk.
On another bed note, our poor Pomeranian, Phoebe, has been having a little trouble with the air bed that we are using as a temporary replacement until our new bed arrives. You see, the old bed actually had foam blocks that surrounded the air chambers and provided stability, like the frame of a waterbed. With the air bed on there right now, there is no support and the edges are soft and squishy. Well, poor Phoebe has fallen off of the bed several times in the middle of the night. I think she’s gotten the hang of it now, though. She walks slowly up to near the edge and then slides off as the edge of the bed gives way. I feel so bad because the air bed we’re using is only a full instead of a queen, so it’s too small for her to really fit. Once I moved and accidentally kicked her off of the bed. I feel so GUILTY! 🙁 I just keep telling myself, “Two more weeks!” I just hope that I can retain my sanity until this new bed arrives. 🙂
I bet Phoebe is more anxious for your new bed than even you are, Jenna! At least you haven’t fallen out, lol!
Sorry to hear you have a cold. Sleep is certainly what you need. How about a nice cup of tea? Wish I could bring one over for you!
Sorry, but I have to admit to laughing at the vision of poor Phoebe … I agree with Von – I reckon she’ll be throwing a party when the new bed arrives LOL. Fingers crossed you don’t end up having to go into work over the weekend 🙂
I hope you’ll get that much needed stitching time!
Oh poor Phoebe! I shouldn’t laugh, but I confess I am laughing, just a little bit. Hope you get your new bed very soon and that you get some stitching time as well. Have a good weekend.
Poor Phoebe : ) Take care of your cold.
Phoebe knows you love her, even if you did help her fall out of bed! 😉
