This photo is for Karen V. My first attempt at a potted Christmas tree finish, as inspired by her photos. It’s a bit rough and I have a long way to go to figuring this whole thing out, but hey, it’s a start! 😉
Sorry, the colors of the stitched piece, especially the beads, are washed out by the flash, but it’s after 12:30 AM here and this needs to be packed up to ship out tomorrow to my Dad in Florida, so this is as good as it gets.
Time to pack this baby up and get to bed!
Oh, and a P.S. to Christine V., if you’re reading, I picked up the knitting needles and another skein of yarn tonight. I’m ready to start knitting myself a scarf in the new year! 😀
Your dad is going to love it!
Nice job Jenna. I made a note of this finishing idea too and will have to try it next year. Have a good day!
I love this finishing technique! You did a really nice job with it.
I think it turned out great! It’s so cute! Love the idea of putting it in a pot. I have the same problem w/ the flash washing out the colors of things, I’m still working on how to get around that. I’m sure your dad will love his gift. 😀
Lovely tree, Jenna! I’m sure your Dad is going to treasure it :))
Your Dad’s tree is so pretty. I’m sure he’ll love it! 🙂
Hugs my friend!
That is pretty!! What pattern did you stitch up? I don’t think I have seen it before.
And good luck with the knitting! The scarves Christine has been knitting up are enough to enable just about everyone!
Beautiful, Jenna 🙂
The Fabric for my Celtic Autumn is A Silkweaver Solo…so there is no name 🙂
What a cool idea!
Jenna, it’s gorgeous! I love how these little trees look in a group and they’re always a conversation starter 🙂 I’m sure your dad will love it. Have a great weekend!
Great minds think alike – how funny that we both made trees on the same day! Yours looks great and I’m sure your Dad will love it. I can’t take any credit for the cinnamon stick idea – that was all Karen!
Charlie is a dwarf hamster and I’m not sure if he is Russian or Siberian. He is nearly 3 years old so every day at the moment is a bonus. He was my first pet when I had an apartment which didn’t allow cats and dogs so he has a special place in my heart.
Your tree ornie looks great – it really is a clever way to finish an ornie … you guys all made great jobs out of it (ie Karen, Jo and yourself). BTW, I passed on a big “hi” to Mum for you 😉
