AnneS informed me overnight that she hasn’t been able to get to my blog for two days. Well, I’m still here and I’m still blogging, even if apparently no one can get to my blog! 😆 Terry did a lot of hard work this weekend, replacing two of the older servers in our basement server room (yes, I know, we’re computer geeks) with two newer servers and making a lot of configuration changes at the same time. As anyone who work with computers knows from experience, nothing ever goes right no matter how much you test ahead of time. 😕 So, anyway, despite thinking that the worst of the bugs were worked out by the wee hours of Monday morning, after a LONG weekend working on it, apparently something slipped through the cracks. He assures me that it should be working now, so you should once again be receiving my annoying posts in technicolor. Just what you always wanted! 😉
So, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play? Otherwise known as, what else has been going on around here? Well, I’ve been RAK’ed again. This time by a certain ex-Kiwi duck fanatic. Anne sent me a lovely skein of Needle Necessities floss in the most wonderful shades of lavender, a monstrous piece of dark grey Belfast linen that I think will work great for the Victoria Sampler Winter Banner, amongst other things, and a really cute little 2006 calendar featuring silly pictures of posed kangaroos! Thank you Anne!
Oh, and in case I neglected to publicly embarrass, er… thank, our favorite material girl sufficiently, I want to give another shout out to her for her great RAK the other week, as well. I just want to make sure I thank everyone enough!! Stitching bloggers truly have some of the biggest hearts I’ve ever known!
Yesterday was also an eventful mail day because I received another model to work on. I’ve been waiting for a couple of weeks for this one. It’s a nice little hardanger project and the designer unwittingly (or maybe purposefully?) chose my favorite colors for it. Yep, purples. But, as usual, it’s an as-yet-unreleased design, so I can’t say anything more… *insert Mission Impossible music here*
This post will self-destruct in 5 seconds.
There have been some times when your page wouldn’t load, but it always does when I try a little later. Having married a geek, produced one, my DD married one, I completely understand how maddening servers, and computers in general can be – and how wonderful they can be too! 🙂
Yes, your blog have been down for few days….I suspected server problem and waited.
I am glad that it is back up and running! Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Nice to see you again! I was wondering what was going on.
