Okay, let me try this again. I was quite a ways into this post when my touchpad started skipping all over the place and in an effort to reset it, I somehow lost the entire post. I’m not having good luck lately with data loss.
Anyway, I will be making several posts this weekend as I finally catchup with the events of last weekend. One will include all of my purchases and savings from the Sudberry House garage sale in CT last Saturday. Another will summarize the rest of our trip, including my visit with Marietta and Robbin. I’ll also be writing up a stash list this weekend (I may or may not post it here) to begin my attempt to jump onto “the wagon” – to stop purchasing any more stitching stash and to become a stash only stitcher.
In the meantime, I thought I’d give an update on how my banner was received by my summer intern yesterday. In a nutshell, she loved it! She held it up and looked at it carefully, from end to end, for at least 10 minutes with random exclamations scattered throughout. I am happy that it turned out so well (I’ll try not to break an arm patting myself on the back 🙂 ) and doubly happy that my hard work was so well received.
It turned out to be a weepy day, from presenting her with the banner, to going to lunch for the last time, going through her final review and then reading her thank you note when I arrived home. She really is a sweet young woman. It was a pleasure to have her around and will seem empty without her on Monday… 🙁
