A new era of education begins today. Yes, it’s my first day at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Online Division. Otherwise known as the Art Institute Online. We have two chapters to read this week and 3 assignments, one due Friday, one on Sunday and the third on Monday. I guess this really is going to be an aggressive timeline! I’ve already completed all part of the first assignment and “handed in” the first part of the second assignment. I even started on the third assignment, but I think I need to read the book to figure out the rest of that assignment.
In my haste to get everythign completed and turned in, I forgot that I have to participate 4 out of 7 days a week, so I really should have paced myself and turned in the second assignment tomorrow. Oh well, this way I’m ahead of the game. I have to say that being the first person to post the second assignment was a bit nerve-wracking, though. I’m a little unsure of whether or not I did it correctly. And I would hate to get less than a perfect grade, though I think I’m going to have to get over that soon. While I’d like to have an A average, and there’s nothing to say that I won’t, I do need to make sure I’m being realistic. I came out of college the first time with a B, so I need to remember that less than perfect is okay, too. 🙂
Good luck with your studies!
I am so excited for you, Jenna!
I’m sure you’ll do well! Good luck with your studies.
Way to go!
We’ve been given our schedule now, even though we don’t actually start our studies until monday… Looks as if I’ll be giving my first presentation on tuesday… o_O Not that serious though, we’ll be presenting each other! 😀 But my first assignment is due on friday, so …. off we go! 🙂
Congratulations on a great start, Jenna! And remember, it’s not about the grade but about the journey.
Yay! How exciting! Go get ’em, girl 😉
Well done! You sound like you have it all sussed out!
Good luck with your online class, Jenna. The first time I took an online class, I was a bit overwhelmed too. It’s normal to have an aggressive timeline like that.
Great job, Jenna! I ditto what Barbara said. 🙂 Being a little older with more life experience should help you to keep perspective. Of course, we love to get A’s, but it’s the learning that’s important. Hugs!
Good luck with school! Allen just started a PhD program so I will be sort of going along a similar journey over the next few years:)
Good luck with your new study path … I know you’ll do well 😀 And the extra challenge you will receive in an area you love will be all positive 🙂
Really love your latest floss tag exchange with KarenV – both received and given are gorgeous 😀
Good luck to you! I am sure you will do really well. Just remember to pace yourself, since it is online.
You go! Congrats on this new adventure.
Pacing is always something it takes a little of practice to find. I’m absolutely certain you’ll find the right pace for you and do great!
Luck!
I’m in school too, working on a MT. The amount of assignments and projects are CRAZY. You’re smart to pace yourself! Good luck with your studies…
Oh, that feeling of wanting to get a perfect score never goes away! LOL
Hey Jenna, I emailed you but haven’t heard back – all okay??? You know me, can’t help but worry.
